Frequently Asked Questions

  • I’m so thrilled you’ve made it all the way down here and have decided that I’m the right photographer for you! Fill out the contact form HERE and I will be in touch to secure your session. Once we have decided a date, I’ll send through a deposit invoice and a contract and once that’s all sorted – you’re all booked in!
Don’t worry I don’t leave you high and dry, I am more than happy to help you with outfit and location choices!

  • I am a lifestyle photographer, meaning I capture you naturally and authentically. I lightly pose and guide to get the best images, and gently pose newborns with the help of mum or dad. It’s all about natural connections for me and my job is to help you connect with your loved ones and genuinely have a great time! So yes I will take photos of everyone looking at the camera to make grandma happy, but I personally LOVE the photos where you’re all connecting lovingly towards each other.

  • I am a family and newborn photographer located in The Hills District of Sydney, but I am more than happy to travel to anywhere in Sydney and its surrounds. My studio is in Baulkham Hills.
Travel outside of Sydney may incur a fee.

  • I am fully vaccinated against COVID, whooping cough and all other vaccinations. I also have my working with children check.

  • Kids will be kids and I know this all too well - I have 3!! I create a relaxed and fun environment that helps any mood and letting the kids run the show helps as well. Go in with zero expectations, embrace the wild and unpredictable, and I promise I will create some magic! Often Dads are the one’s who have the most fun! Throwing kids up in the air, rumbling with them – it’s a time for you to connect with your kids more than anything and from there moments will appear before our very eyes.

  • Family/maternity sessions generally go for up to an hour. For outdoor sessions, I like to shoot one hour before sunset to capture that beautiful golden glow. I have a list of location suggestions depending on what style of outdoor shoot you are after which we can chat about upon booking. You will also get a session guide which goes through all kinds of information, from prepping your kids, styling tips, to what to bring to a session.

If you want to have an in-home Newborn session, I would absolutely love that! I usually shoot in 2-3 rooms (living area, master bedroom etc) or near a window or door – near as much natural light as possible! No need to clean the entire house, if we could make sure just one or two spots are tidy, that is all we need. This is all highlighted in the session guide as well. OR come to my studio which has plenty of light and is warm and inviting, the perfect spot for capturing those precious newborn moments.

  • Within the first two weeks, baby is the sleepiest. It’s generally the easiest time to get those sleepy images, however every baby is different, and we just go with the flow and are guided by what the baby needs. Don’t stress if you’re not ready that early though – I have captured ‘newborns’ from a few hours old, through to 3 months. Any time is the perfect time to capture some memories. I allow 2-3 hours for newborn sessions to make sure we have plenty of time, and it's as relaxed as possible so if bub needs a feed in the middle of the session we stop for that. I have written a blog all about it - CLICK HERE to read more.

  • I offer styling tips in my information pack and have a client wardrobe which is complimentary with each session so you can choose a special piece to wear.

  • We will of course reschedule if someone is under the weather, or there is a family emergency, I just ask for at least 24 hours’ notice where possible. If it is raining, I will contact you as early as possible to discuss options, however a little sprinkle of rain or cloudy skies shouldn’t be feared! We can usually make it work and get some incredible images.

  • Now is the fun part for me! I will be editing your gallery, making sure they are extra special. Each image is edited in my bespoke style. A side note – I don’t photoshop. You’re beautiful the way you are and changing bodies is not my thing! I will however remove a pimple, bruise or anything like that. If there are any other extensive editing requirements, they may incur a fee.

I will send you a link to your online gallery within 2-3 weeks of your session for viewing. You’ll receive 50+ watermarked images in your gallery, and you can either choose your selected image package, or upgrade your gallery/purchase the full gallery. If you haven’t already picked your package, you have 7 days to pick and choose your images. Once the images have been confirmed, you will receive your digital download (or USB for full galleries).

A few weeks later you’ll receive a guide from me outlining all the beautiful prints and products you can purchase from me to get your images up on your walls!

  • This is all highlighted in the information pack you will receive upon booking however the essentials with small children are snacks & water and warm clothes if it’s chilly. Swimmers and towels if we are at the beach and you want to get wet! Also bring a spare change of clothes for yourself if you end up in the water with your kids.

  • YES of course! Gift vouchers are a perfect timeless gift to give someone you really care about. Amazing for baby showers, new mothers or baby gifts, and for grandparents too! You can buy the vouchers in my SHOP.
