Mothering is Easy

Yeah right? As if! Don’t shoot me.

It’s got to be the hardest job in the world, right?

But also the most rewarding.

Would we give it up? No way!

I love to honour Mums in their journey of Motherhood. We are so often the one’s who are also the documenters of our children’s lives too and quite often we aren’t in those precious photos! One time I remember looking back at some holiday photos with my youngest and she said “Mum, how come you weren’t there?” Errr. I was! Just behind the camera. So now I make an effort to make sure that on holidays, at Christmas, Easter and Mother’s Day (let’s be real, any opportunity) that I get in the photos too, no matter how crazy my hair looks.

A few weeks ago I photographed 6 Mums and their (big and little!) babies at Rouse Hill Regional Park. What an honour to be able to show those Mums, through photos, the beauty of their relationships with their special kids. And the adoration they have for each other. Makes my heart melt!

Mother’s Day is only around the corner - I hope you enjoy the day - hopefully the kids are doing something special for you. Just a lie in and a cup of tea in bed will do me!

Happy Mother’s Day!
